On Friday, May the 1st at 7:00pm, the Civic Winds Jazz Orchestra will bring its own brand of swingin’ jazz, blues, & funk to Farmington, NM. The ensemble, an offshoot of the larger Southwest Civic Winds organization, is a fifteen-piece, Ellington style jazz orchestra. They will perform jazz big band classics as well as blues and funk hits such as Stevie Wonder's "Sir Duke", Chick Corea's "Spain", as well as Henry Mancini's theme from "Peter Gunn" and many more. Hosted at First Presbyterian Church, 865 N Dustin Ave, the jazz band will perform live for this family friendly concert.
