SJRMC Hires Interim CEO

Jeff Egbert

Jeff Egbert comes to Farmington with 25 years of proven leadership experience as an interim healthcare executive. He holds a master’s degree in Health Care Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas and is a member of the American College of Health Care Executives. His vast experience has been put to use at healthcare organizations across the country, including Utah, Texas, Oregon, Arizona, Ohio and Montana. Egbert most recently acted as an interim healthcare executive in Sierra Vista, Arizona.

San Juan Regional Medical Center’s Board of Directors has hired an interim CEO. Jeff Egbert will serve as the chief executive officer while the nationwide search for a permanent CEO continues.

“We are pleased to welcome Jeff to San Juan Regional Medical Center,” Board of Directors Chair, Janel Ryan, said. “He’s a visionary who has the talent and ability to anticipate industry trends and adapt with innovation and determination.”

Egbert comes to Farmington with 25 years of proven leadership experience as an interim healthcare executive. He holds a master’s degree in Health Care Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas and is a member of the American College of Health Care Executives. His vast experience has been put to use at healthcare organizations across the country, including Utah, Texas, Oregon, Arizona, Ohio and Montana. Egbert most recently acted as an interim healthcare executive in Sierra Vista, Arizona.

“I’m excited to be here,” Egbert said. “San Juan Regional Medical Center is a great organization. I’m looking forward to working with the organization to personalize care for patients in the Four Corners while holding to the highest standards of safety.”

As a professional interim CEO, Egbert will run the day to day operations at the hospital throughout this time of transition, until a permanent replacement is selected.

  • Resident Dies after House Fire N. of Aztec

    Crews arrived to find a structure on fire and the occupant inside.  Despite a quick response from fire crews and efforts by San Juan County Sheriff’s Deputies, one occupant was removed from the structure by firefighters and transported to the hospital by San Juan Regional Medical Center EMS. The occupant was pronounced dead at the hospital.
