Fire Investigators are currently investigating a camp trailer fire that is suspected to have caused the death of an occupant.
Just after 4:00 am Wednesday, San Juan County Fire & Rescue was dispatched to reports of a fire on Road 6940 in Waterflow. Farmington Fire Department responded in mutual aid.
Crews arrived to find a camp trailer on fire and one occupant still inside. Another occupant was transported to the hospital with minor injuries and has since been released. Despite a quick response from fire crews, one occupant was found dead in the trailer after the fire was extinguished.
The name of the deceased is not yet released.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the San Juan County Joint Fire & Explosion Investigation Task Force.
