New Associate VP for Learning

Dr. Adrienne Forgette’s responsibilities involve leadership, implementation, and oversight. She will serve on both the College and the Learning Leadership Teams, play a large role in the implementation of College-wide strategic initiatives, and oversee the directors of the College Library, the East and West campuses, the Center for Teaching Excellence, and the Student Success Center. She also will provide oversight and support for the College’s online course development, as well as building the class schedule, faculty development, and university partnerships.

San Juan College welcomes Dr. Adrienne Forgette as Associate Vice President for Learning.

Dr. Forgette’s responsibilities involve leadership, implementation, and oversight. She will serve on both the College and the Learning Leadership Teams, play a large role in the implementation of College-wide strategic initiatives, and oversee the directors of the College Library, the East and West campuses, the Center for Teaching Excellence, and the Student Success Center. She also will provide oversight and support for the College’s online course development, as well as building the class schedule, faculty development, and university partnerships.

Prior to accepting the position at San Juan College, Dr. Forgette spent the last eight years as the Dean of Faculty at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. She also served as an associate dean and a professor of psychology. She was responsible for and managed assessment, accreditation, strategic planning, and faculty development at Northwestern College.

Dr. Forgette received her Ph.D. in psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary. She earned her Master of Arts in theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. She received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from California State University. She earned her Associate of Arts degree from Mt. San Antonio College.

“Dr. Forgette is a great addition to the San Juan College team and will be integral to the success of the College,” says Dr. Barbara Ake, San Juan College vice president for Learning. “Her experience in working with the Higher Learning Commission, San Juan College’s accrediting agency, will guide us as we move forward in growing and improving the College’s offerings to our students and our community partners.”

Bloomfield Residents and businesses: please minimize water use until further notice. Postpone laundry and dishwasher use, keep showers brief, and reduce toilet flushing when practical and sanitary. Every reduction helps limit wastewater entering the river.
Kirtland Students on Remote Learning thru Thursday

The district has worked with the Lower Valley Water Users Association on the testing needed to lift the boil water notice. Because of the number of tests required, the district has decided to keep students on remote learning as a precaution for their well-being. If test results come back early, the district must still follow processes and protocols to flush and clear the water lines at each school before in-person instruction can resume. Safety is our top priority for the well-being of our Kirtland students.
*UPDATE* Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Lower Valley Water Users

Water Samples taken from the Lower Valley Water Association system have tested negative for e-coli. The Boil Water notice has been lifted for customers.
