Pet Adoption Fee Waived

In order to encourage adoption all adoption fees have been waived for the week. Adoptions include spay or neutering for the animals before release. Adoptions are limited to two per household. You must be 18 to adopt and adopters must follow all local laws and regulations.

From the Farmington Regional Animal Shelter:

Starting July 17 the adoption fee for all animals at the Farmington Regional Animals Shelter has been waived for the “Priceless Pets” event. This has been made possible by a generous donation from the Regional Animal Shelter Foundation. The event will run through July 23, or until the donation money runs out, or the all the animals have been adopted.

Summer is a busy time at the animal shelter, with kittens and puppies exploding all over the county. In order to encourage adoption all adoption fees have been waived for the week. The Farmington Regional Animal Shelter is open seven days a week from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Police ID Suspect and Officers involved in Hines Rd. Shooting

Upon arrival, officers observed a male and female walking who matched the provided descriptions. Officers gave commands for Leon Quintana (27) to place his hands on his head and walk backward toward them. During the encounter, Mr. Quintana hesitated and shifted his movements while officers continued giving commands. He then produced a firearm and fired a shot toward officers, striking an officer’s patrol car. A second shot was also fired.
